Pageant Shows

King of the crown is the runaway hit on TLC. King of The Crown features Cyrus Frakes and his staff at "Gowns and Crowns" as they navigate through the hilarious and heartwarming world of pageant coaching.

KOTC gives an interesting look into a previously unseen world of the actual coaching which goes behind these extravagant productions. A MUST see for any pageant fan/contestant/judge/dad...whatever!!

Wednesdays @ 9/8c. Get the schedule.

“Gown Crazy”, is one-hour special starring “Project Runway” Season Three alumnus Johnathan Kayne Gillaspie (yes, that’s spelled right). Fans will remember him as the fast-talking Southern charmer with an unapologetic passion for pageant dresses. “Gown Crazy” follows the designer at his sprawling Oklahoma home-studio as he juggles finishing dresses and talent costumes for Miss Oklahoma contestants while also planning a charity fashion show in his backyard.

TLC will air Kayne's special one more time on October 30th at 9pm to test for a series. So all pageant fans unite! Let's make TLC the pageant channel!!

On any given weekend, on stages across the country, little girls and boys parade around wearing makeup, false eyelashes, spray tans and fake hair to be judged on their beauty, personality and costumes. Toddlers and Tiaras follows families on their quest for sparkly crowns, big titles, and lots of cash.

Watch Toddlers & Tiaras, Wednesdays on TLC at 10/9c. Get the schedule.

The Perfect Pageant Shoe

The search for the perfect pageant shoe is one that troubles the minds of pageant girls all across the world.

I have found my perfect pageant match with designer Johnathan Kayne. His shoes are the most practical, comfortable and for the most part budget friendly for any girl.
I own 2 of his shoes already and am HOPING for more.

The Charleston
The Charleston is the PERFECT pageant shoe for swimsuit. Girls are staring to shy away
from the taupe shoes for swimsuit and are looking towards a clear heel to "elongate" the line of their legs. These have perfect lining (which i believe is suede) to prevent foot slippage and the plastic straps across the top keep you perfectly in place. The platform in the front is small enough not to look silly on stage but big enough to make this 4" heel ridiculously comfortable. And they are SO reasonably priced at $60.

Austria
The Austria is the perfect "opening number" or "appearance" shoe. It has the same lining that prevents your foot from slipping around and the arch is just at the perfect angle so that you can wear them for hours on end and not feel a thing! Swarovski Austrian Crystals make this shoe stand out without being gaudy and is SURE to get you noticed on stage.

Sahar
a
This is the perfect "su
it" or interview shoe. It it the perfect blend of modernity and sophistication with that perfect height of heel and color to match any outfit you have. This one is also reasonably priced at $69

JUNO
From the Miss USA to the Miss Universe stage...platforms are IN!. THIS is your PERFECT evening gown shoe. Jonathan Kayne matches all of the elements of the perfect shoe (the austria) into a show stopping 4 1/2 inch platform shoe that is sure to make the smallest girl look like a glamazon. This is the "grandaddy" of all pageant shoes. Expect to see these on winners feet across the country.
***at $190 you definitely get what you pay for, do not fear paying this much for one of JK's designs, as they are undoubtedly worth it.
I have tried this shoe on and it it just incredible, and I am willing to sell my soul for it--- save my pageant budget won't allow for this pair of shoes

Johnathan Kayne is currently vying to get on the Oprah show to showcase his talents as a pageant guru and designer.

Help him out by going to https://www.oprah.com/plugform.jsp?plugId=220 and telling her that Johnathan Kayne ROCKS

The Wonders of Butt Glue

So after spending $550 on a competition Jayme Shaw swimsuit, I noticed that it was giving me a we
dgie in the back as I practiced.

I was thus informed that No!! You don't just go out there bare! You have to wear Butt glue.

Yes. Butt Glue.

This little product holds your suit in place (firmly) as the name suggests and prevents that dreaded wedgie on stage.

Who would've ever known!

But pageant girls beware!! Once on, it has a tendency to take your tan OFF once removed. A little baby wipe backstage will aid in the removal of the glue from your toosh!

Stay tuned for more pageant insider secrets as I prepare for my state pageant!
